Yale SWS x Girls Who Invest
SWS is proud to have a large network of Girls Who Invest (GWI) alumni. GWI is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the investment management industry that provides young women with internship and other finance career opportunities. SWS board members have attended numerous GWI events, including a speaker event with Seema Hingorani, founder of GWI and Yale ‘91, visits to Vanguard and Bloomberg headquarters, and the annual GWI alumni conference.
Yale sws x citadel
In Fall 2024, Yale SWS collaborated with our corporate sponsor Citadel to organize a networking event at the Omni Hotel, New Haven. Over 50 SWS members attended the event, where they met with Citadel’s female representatives and learned about software engineering, quantitative trading, and quantitative research opportunities at the firm.
Speaker events
Some of the speakers SWS has invited include CEO of fashion brand Zara’s parent company Inditex, Óscar García Maceiras, Morgan Stanley Chief Financial Officer, Sharon Yeshiva, and Yale Investments Office Managing Director, Amy Chivetta. SWS also organizes an annual upperclassmen/alumni panel, where SWS alumni share their experiences with younger club members.
